Stephen H. Eap
O.D., J.D.A UCLA graduate earned his optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and his law degree from the Pacific Coast University, School of Law. Dr. Eap received his clinical training in primary eye care and various specialty eye care areas at the Illinois Eye Institute. He also completed his didactic training in ocular therapeutics at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. For further clinical training in the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the treatment and management of ocular disease, Dr. Eap did his preceptorship under the guidance of Merrill M. Knopf, M.D. and Irene F. Sasaki, M.D. at the Eye Treatment Center in Long Beach. He is board certified to treat and manage eye diseases and visual disorders.
Dr. Eap served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Marshall B. Ketchum University Southern California College of Optometry. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. Academically, Dr. Eap taught the legal aspects of optometry in Professional Ethics, Clinical Seminars, and the Business of Optometry courses. As a national speaker for an optometric continuing education, he lectures to optometrists on the fundamental laws related to the practice of optometry. Dr. Eap is also the author of OPTOMETRY LAW.
