Meet Our Doctor & Staff

Stephen H. Eap, O.D., J.D.

A UCLA graduate earned his optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and his law degree from the Pacific Coast University School of Law.  Dr. Eap received his clinical training at the Illinois Eye Institute and his preceptorship training at the Eye Treatment Center in Long Beach.  In addition, he completed extensive courses in ocular therapeutics at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and in refractive surgery co-management at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute.  Dr. Eap is board certified to treat and manage eye diseases and visual disorders.

Dr. Eap served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Marshall B. Ketchum University Southern California College of Optometry.  In addition, he has served as a guest lecturer at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry.  Academically, Dr. Eap has taught the legal aspects of optometry in Professional Ethics, Clinical Seminars and the Business of Optometry courses.  He is also a national speaker for an optometric continuing education, where he lectures on the fundamental laws related to the practice of optometry.  Dr. Eap is the author of Optometry Law.


Heather - Director of Marketing

Our director of marketing, Heather, started her career at Eap Optometry in 1994.  After six years of hard work and dedication, she was elevated to the position of office manager.  Heather was the office manager until 2012 when she was appointed to her current position as director of marketing.  Her main duty is to find ways and means to promote our practice to the Long Beach and surrounding communities.




Veronica - Office Manager

Our office manager, Veronica, began working at Eap Optometry in 2004.  After graduating from the California State University, Long Beach in 2012, she was promoted to the position of office manager.  Her main focus is to maintain patient satisfaction.  For any concerns you may have, Veronica can be reached at 562.496.3365.


Lexxie - Optometric Associate

Lexxie has been with our office since 2013.  Lexxie's daily tasks are to assist Dr. Eap in preparing patients for the eye examination and to assist the office manager in ensuring that the office runs smoothly .  



Reyna & Alexis  - Optometric Assistants 

Our optometric assistants' daily tasks are to perform clerical work, pre-tests and assisting patients with eye wear selection.   

Our staff can speak Spanish.
